Description / Comments

The protagonist is part of a scout team of humanity far in the future who is tasked with regularly checking on the seals that hold the other four races in suspended animation, after those other races lost in the great 5-races war in the past. However all of a sudden one day the world seems to melt away while out on a “date” with his childhood friend in the city, and he hears a message stating the world is getting rewritten, only to wake up in the same spot in the city with all of the humans gone and all of the buildings destroyed. APparently the protagonist got sucked into a timeline where humanity lost the great war instead and became slaves of the other four races, and nobody remembers he exists.

This work is kind of hard to categorize on this list since it’s kind of parallel-world where the entire world except for the protag reincarnates after someone changes the timeline, which is also kind of an isekai but also not.

The heroine being like a full on chimera of every race and hating everybody except the protag and also being a really cute girl who loves the protag and nobody else is actually kind of cringe. Designed for insecure men who want a cute girl that has no interaction with anybody other than them, doesn’t talk to anybody else except through the them, doesn’t do anything on her own, and immediately wants to sleep with them. She has no personality of her own and could be replaced with any other macguffin and improve the story.

The art in this work is both very good and detailed and yet at the same time completely lacking in detail in a lot of ways that gives is a very strange feeling. I feel like it’s predominantly 3d art that was digitally traced over, and then they used the halftone patterns in an odd way (or just did normal gradients at times). The character designs are overall generally good although the heroine is extremely guilty crown coded. Which uh, makes sense considering the heroine’s design is the only redeeming quality of GC and this work is basically the same. The elf miko is very hot tho.

The author had a nice idea for a concept but failed to actually execute it. Unfortunately a nice concept isn’t enough, and it’s basically impossible to recommend anybody reading this. I’m baffled on why this got picked up for an anime adaptation.
