Description / Comments
The protagonist is the princess of a kingdom that was overthrown in a revolution from the entire royalty being incompetent, awaiting the day of her execution while wondering how everything went so wrong, reflecting on all of the mistakes that were pointed out to her over the years. She eventually gets executed through guillotine, but somehow wakes up multiple years in the past as her younger self as if it were all a dream; Unfortunately it was all real and she has a bloodstained diary right next to her as proof of the future timeline. In order to prevent the tragic fate befalling her kingdom (and more importantly, herself) she now needs to wrack what little braincells she has to the fullest ability in order to prevent being beheaded once more.
The first Part of this work is a fairly nice story about “second chances” and “justice”; Essentially that enacting vigilante justice against another person because they are ignorant without ever telling them their faults, and never giving them a chance to possibly correct their mistakes, is wrong. Most arcs within the first Part explore various aspects of that theme while slowly having the protagonist change for the better after her ignorance was pointed out in her previous life.
This work is very similar to Overlord in a lot of ways; “Sasuga Ains-sama” syndrome is ever present in this work with a lot of the plot advancing through characters’ misunderstandings of the protagonist’s intentions. I feel like if you’re a fan of that kind of strange humor you’d also enjoy this work. I feel like a majority of the work is politics focused, even if it does have chapters primarily about romance/comedy/battles at times.
