Protagonist was your average dude with no friends who just kind of coasted through his meaningless life, when one day he decides to take a walk outside for a change. However on his walk he spots a young girl fall off a bridge into a river, contemplates whether or not to save her, and then ultimately decides to since nobody would miss him anyways. However he ends up dying due to hypothermia then ends up reincarnating into an isekai while retaining his memories. Now for the first time he’ll experience a loving family and what it means to live a fulfilling life.
Have you heard about prime numbers? What about heliocentrism? Local child (ossan) wikipedia dumps all sorts of useless knowledge on other local child in this riveting tale in order to seem smart. Lmao at the plot basically being the christian crusades on literal earth.
The work is an enjoyable enough story about an alternate-universe Earth featuring slightly fantastical races with an alternate history in eurasia, featuring large flying creatures in place of actual air fighters or modern technology. The focus is mostly the author wikipedia-dumping knowledge and showing how cool the protag is for remembering all of these minor details from his past life and using them for his benefit in this new life, which I guess is the primary essence of “narou isekai/reincarnation” stories to begin with. Everything is similar enough to earth’s history that it’s not particularly interesting to read through, and the character relationships aren’t much better. However it’s still entertaining enough that I could see it being at least moderately recommendable for someone interested in an alternate history earth.
