Fairly standard shoujo romance where the protag does something insane like a villaness would do but then gets sent back in time to repent and get another chance at living life. I do like the protagonist’s overall backstory pre-reincarnation though. Despite being a “villaness” series and having all of the same hallmarks of one with a cute blond haired commoner eventually becoming the wife of the prince (and thus the queen) it’s still distinct from other villainess serieses by not being based on an otomege or having magic healing powers involved, etc.
My main thought while reading it was that the Heroes definitely felt like they were written as if their concepts of “Love” and “Infatuation” were that of a woman, rather than that of a man. It’s not uncommon for the opposite gender characters of an author to sometimes have unrealistic behaviour but idk the Heroes kind of just feel like women in men’s bodies, which is kind of interesting because the protag was forced to crossdress when she was younger. There’s enough present in the story to actually be able to enjoy the series regardless, but it’s hard to recommend it either way since the character interactions are weird.
