Description / Comments

This work drops your right into the midst of the story of a story about a 30 year old japanese office lady who got whisked away into an isekai, multiple years after it happened. The first chapter is told from the Male Lead’s point of view when he first meets this lady, while most of the rest of the chapters are told from the protagonist’s point of view, it occasionally swaps to the male lead’s and a few other character’s points of view as well. Small bits of info are slowly given about her past life in japan, as well as all of the events that happened to her in this isekai thus far before meeting the male lead, along with how she ended up being a highly respected “supporting mage” that takes care of all of the busybody work in a party as if she’s their mom.

This work is about the protagonist’s worries and trauma about being dropped into another world all of a sudden with no explanation or even goals to work towards, with no real special abilities, or really anything special about her. All of her comforts of modern life, all of her loved ones, family, work, anything and everything changing in a day and not even being able to understand the language of the inhabitants of the world slowly take a toll on her mental health and cause her to slowly shut herself off from the world. The protagonist has PTSD from extreme abuse and a large portion of the work is her trying to deal with it. It is an extremely josei/shoujo take on the isekai genre focusing more on her emotions and interpersonal relations than any grand adventure or goal.

There’s also a lot of attention to detail, both in the background art and the character art. Even subtle things like the protagonist’s eyebrows being slightly thicker and not well-maintained like how anime faces are usually drawn, since there isn’t a real way to maintain perfect eyebrows in a medieval society in an isekai. The author also put a lot of effort and research into everything and it shows; even the basic prep they used for winter hiking along with all of the considerations they took are well done and satisfying to read through.

All in all it’s a nice simple josei romance with an isekai flavor.
