The protagonist dies and reincarnates as the evil douchebag of a noble in a game who tortures his maids and all of his servants. However the protagonist is actually somewhat of a nice guy underneath so he immediately tries to mend his ways and focus on self improvement instead before he ends up meeting his bad end getting executed by the hands of the original hero/protagonist in this high difficulty setting. He grinds away with the help of all of his servants and one of the highest level adventurers up until the day of his original bad end in the academy! Hopefully he can continue to improve and survive in his new life!

This work is perfect actually. The art is amazing with extremely detailed backgrounds and great character art, good use of obscure angles and panelling, it’s just overall nice. The story is a fairly standard battle shounen but with actually competent women who are just as strong or stronger than the protagonist.

However there isn’t really a real overarching plot that I can tell; There’s a general plot featuring the original story but it’s so off the rails that i’m not sure where the story is headed. I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing since most battle shounen are the same way, but I can see it as a general negative.

In general I think this would be super popular if it got adapted to an anime so i’m putting this into an S tier; if you vibe with the general subgenre I hope you’d enjoy this work as much or more than I do.
