Protag is your average everyday salaryman who has extremely vivid dreams about an alternate world where you can have tons of fun adventures as if it is an RPG, which makes him not as engaged or interested as living as his “real” corporate self. He is even able to bring small things like food/water there along with him by putting it under his pillow, which is great because all of the food in this isekai is extremely bland compared to superior japanese cuisine. Once he sleeps or dies in his dream (isekai) he’ll end up back in his body like usual. However one day when he’s out exploring with his cute elf waifu he ends up dying and somehow or another she ends up transporting to japan along with him!

This is a romance nonbiri isekai tourism manga except it’s a double feature where both of them tour both worlds back and forth repeatedly. All of the chapters of the elf (and other isekaijin) visiting Earth are very good, while all of the chapters where the protagonist is in isekailand are unfortunately kind of boring/bad.

If the work was almost entirely exclusively a reverse-isekai with the elf exploring and learning more about the world it would actually be almost perfect. And yet about half of the work is spent on utterly banal isekai battleslop instead. Why? Also the story takes a massive nosedive around vol10 or so where everything becomes disney (literally) and the protag is for some reason not allowed to kill a literally extremely evil dude since it will hurt one of the girls’ feelings… so they prank him like an epic youtuber instead…

A large majority of the insert images for chapter starts/etc has her with twinbraids and it’s amazing thank you artist-sama. pls god give me cute elf wife. Would rec this manga if you want to see a cute blonde-adjacent elf make cute faces and wear cute clothes with cute reactions, with the caveat that the isekai portions suck ass.
