Protag gets flamed online and wants to leave to an isekai so badly that he actually gets transported to an isekai. However when he arrives he has a random game controller in his hand that seemingly does nothing, except when he presses the pause button the world actually pauses. As a result he can casually stroll around the world with time stopped and do anything he wants to do, except he has a timer at the top right of his vision that is slowly ticking down (when time is not paused) that may or may not spell his doom. What does the timer mean, how can he get it to stop, will he die if it runs out, and does he even have more than one life?

The work starts out by giving the protag the busted cheat ability to stop time (and immediately abuses it to look at naked women), but even if time is stopped it’s not like he can solve a large majority of problems to begin with since he’s just normally weak. Additionally he’s given absolutely no insight into what the timer means at any point in time and he has to spend ages trying to guess at what the problem is or even where he should be in order to solve the problem to begin with since it doesn’t have to be in his general vicinity. Ultimately this is a “Mystery” work but unlike most mysteries where a protagonist is trying to solve the crime after it has happened, the protag instead has to solve a crime that will happen at a specified time in the future and prevent it from ever happening without any further hints.

If you can handle / look past the perverted aspects of this work the Mystery aspects of the protag trying to solve the mysterious countdown is great. However the constant bombardment of perversion is kind of unbearable at times even if it makes sense for it to happen when you give a horny teenager the ability to stop time. The work does get better after a few arcs (just read tons of chapters bro it gets better bro trust me) and I do think it’s probably best in class for the kind of work that it is and maybe I should lower the rating but like Personally I enjoy this work a fair bit since it’s unique enough across all of the garbage i’ve read. Ch36 is dank since it’s literally just a full on Ocarina of Time reference.
