The protagonist was the grandmaster sage who took part in the hero’s party to defeat the demon lord, after which he spent all of his time researching and advancing technology up until he died of natural age. He was also a pervert, and dies shortly after sexually harassing one of his students. However he is reborn as an infant to a mage family with all of his memories intact (all according to his plan from his previous life), yet is deemed an incompetent with no magic power (since their measuring tool is broken and can’t tell his power is off the charts, haha lol) so he’s disowned and left in the forest to die. Thankfully his magic sentient staff from his previous life managed to find him in time so that the sage could finally use magic, and take control of his life.

This is an absurdist perverted comedy with an ugly baby as a protagonist.

This is nanaouji with a younger protagonist, with less interesting fights, worse art, and more perversion. If you want more of nanaouji this can be an okay experience and it’s definitely more comedy-focused which might appeal to certain people more, so I can at least moderately recommend it.
