Protagonist works with his father at their family restaurant, but with all of the newer conglomerates moving in they want to take over that building as well but the father isn’t having it; so they get graffiti’d and bullied relentlessly. Then one day his father gets hit by a truck, and while the protag rushes to the hospital to see him their restaurant gets set on fire, to which the protagonist rushes back since his dad’s super epic knife folded 10000 times by the epic japanese bladesmiths is in the restaurant and the dad loves it more than his own life, so clearly the optimal choice for the protag is to rush headfirst into the fire to save it. Except upon doing so he gets isekai’d to a random forest along with the knife, falls into a hole, and gets saved by a hot brown lady. She helps him out of her hole she dug to catch the wildlife, is skeptical of him but brings him back home, and offers to cook him food but it’s absolutely abysmal. He then states he’s an aspiring chef and he can do so much better, despite him being like literally 17 years old and barely having actually cooked himself, he’s so much better than these Savages who can barely cook at all, clearly.

Main appeal of this series is the hot brown anime women tbh. Endless pages of hot brown anime women. There’s cooking autism too i guess. But unfortunately I don’t find the cooking portions to be particularly noteworthy, as it is mostly the dude introducing stuff that should’ve been common knowledge ages ago, especially if the “natives” he first encountered were originally people who migrated from another climate that was originally prosperous. Hell, they eventually introduce a cute girl in vol10 that basically would’ve figured out everything he’s doing all on her own anyways (which is a nice development, because he was getting glazed a little too hard).

This could’ve been a work about the protag learning about their culture and assimilating to be one with them, but it’s moreso “white man colonizes the savage brown people and civilize them by revolutionizing their food and economics” which is uh, okay sure. Even the first girl who originally gave him this opportunity kind of gets shoved to the side as the story progresses and left to kind of be some kind of comic relief or love interest, instead of actually being useful as the “head of the clan”. I feel like this work is just a ton of missed opportunities.

All in all, would rec to fans of hot brown anime women, since if nothing else the art in this is pretty good for that. Wouldn’t rec to anybody else.
