Description / Comments

The protagonist finds himself waking up inside an isekai dungeon without any inkling on how he found himself in this situation, with no real skills or combat knowhow to fend off against the monsters roaming around. Thankfully he manages to find a random adventurer party nearby, however upon greeting them they stab him and leave him to die as bait for them to run away themselves. However it turns out he does have a skill that strips all of his emotions away once they build up too much while raising a weird stat point, which allows him to compose himself enough to just barely kill the enemies attacking him and escape to outside the dungeon. Outside the dungeon isn’t much better since he has no money, no backing, no history, and no friends to lean on; He has to figure out how to survive and find a way home. Unfortunately it looks like one of his only tickets home is reaching the very bottom floor of the dungeon which is said to grant any wish, and yet the furtherst anyone has gotten so far is the lower 20s (somehow).

This is kind of a skill/stat window dump series where seemingly everything is driven by vague numbers that is only visible to the protagonist and a few key people. It tries to keep everything mysterious while keeping us in dark as much as the protag is while going through the world. The protag is interesting; he has a severe complex about the world and his thoughts of what he should be doing. Dia is pretty cool as well with her complex about wanting to be the ideal shounen protagonist and general gender identity is moe. The characters carry this series hard and the world itself is decent enough that this is kind of pretty cool.

I do feel like the protag being super strong through the power of Numbers and not simply because he’s better or anything, just kind of getting roped along through circumstance, is kind of annoying. It makes a big deal out of it and weaves it into the plot despite it being a fairly dumb point unless it’s going to make it somehow super epic later on; “Oops you can’t continue partying with us because your numbers aren’t high enough, tough luck kid maybe next life” smh.
