Description / Comments

The protagonist is an officer in the intergalatic human resistance fighting against the common enemy threat when one day the ship he is on is attacked by an unknown enemy and they get stranded in space with no way to communicate back or receive help. As a result he ends up getting sent down to a nearby planet with limited resources and he has to fend for himself. Thankfully he ends up managing to find long lost remnants of human civilization on this planet albeit they are seemingly in the medieval age, and a unique trait of this planet is the presence of Magic.

An interesting take on fantasy isekai where it’s actually “sci-fi” instead of pure magical fantasy. It handles the blend and integration of sci-fi into this world fairly well along with traditional fantasy isekai elements that it’s a really enjoyable work to read through. I would say the only bad part about the work is that there’s an excessive amount of glazing of the protagonist where he can do no wrong and always has the correct answer, even when he doesn’t. Actually the worst part might be that he essentially has a harem with no other men around his age to bounce ideas off of or compete against him in any real capacity.

This manga was on indefinite hiatus for a while because the WN/LN which itself was on indefinite hiatus and it ran out of material to adapt. Then they had the brilliant idea to just continue the story in the manga with original content alongside minor supervision from the original author while the WN remains on hiatus which is kind of an insane choice; don’t think i’ve seen that happen with manga before even if it was relatively common in anime land for a while. Unfortunately the story has suffered a fair bit as a result with the writing quality taking a nosedive, plot developments that make little sense and don’t directly serve the main grand goal the protagonist is striving towards on the limited timescale he has, and just generally being kind of bad when I really enjoyed the story beforehand. I think I would’ve preferred an axe than reading someone’s bad (official) fanfic tbh. I still enjoy the work up until that point, I’m just sad at what it has become.
