The protagonist was a hero in his past life fighting against the scourge of humanity, The Witch, and died in a dumb way only to end up as a “normal” boy in modern japan. However because he is a little handsome and is aloof from all of his past life experience he’s super popular with all of the hot girls in class although he wants nothing to do with them. Then a cute new transfer student arrives, and it’s apparently the reincarnation of The Witch from his past life, who forcibly reincarnated into this world because she was in love with him and simply wanted to be lovers with him but couldn’t in her past life.

This is, uh, reverse-isekai reincarnation ecchi oregairu, featuring a hero and witch and others who reincarnated into modern japan. You’ve got not-yukinoshita, not-yui, and not-iroha, and of course the not-hachiman himself but nobody else. The chapters kind of just round robin focus on each of the girls progressing their relationship with him like they’re all independent visualnovel routes going along at the same time with the girls getting jealous of each other in a really weird not-harem manner. The art is fairly bad but it’s honestly amusing to just read to see all of the oregairu parallels.

The past life doesn’t really matter at all to the plot of the story yet it keeps getting brought up into the story a lot regardless, and a lot of events seem really bizarre because of that. One moment they’ll be having a normal conversation then one of the characters’ personality switches and they’re off sparring each other while not-iroha just kind of blankly stares at them fighting without her even knowing why they’re fighting or why they keep calling themselves weird names.

Baffling work, not sure i’d recommend but if you want to see a strange oregairu that doesn’t understand what made oregairu good then uh check it out?
