Protagonist reincarnates into the frontier noble in an otome game where everybody dies relatively young from attacks by monsters and other nations. He’s also apparently the random noble that the Villainess from the otome game gets banished to and betrothed to. He is originally wary about the villainess since she has a really nasty personality in the game, but upon meeting her notices that “evil cursed mites” are swarming around her which is possibly causing her strange behaviour, and it turns out she’s just a nice cute and loving girl. He then sets out to protect his loving wife from The Plot and all who might come to harm her while making her feel loved.

It’s a very simple and straight-forward romance, with a few interesting twists that help it stand out from the rest. Most notably the main heroine (villainess) has a massive scar on her face, and the work/protag handles that fact very well. It also has some nice back and forth with the multiple “protags” who isekai’d into this world simultaneously and are trying to steer The Plot to favor them.

However I’m not sure what the overarching plot is or the direction it’s trying to steer for which I feel is a miss. It’s not like you can read it just as a romance since it focuses a lot on the overarching Plot of the game and the “battle” between the two Protags, which causes everything to feel a little half-baked.
