Protagonist reincarnates as the illegimitimate child of a noble family, who just so happens to be the final last boss of a standard otome novel who is neglected and abandoned by everybody else then turns to evil with her ultimate magic powers. However the protagonist is actually the one who wrote this story, along with all of the suffering of everybody involved, so you could consider it her retributic karma to have reincarnated as someone destined to die. That won’t stop the protag from trying to just live her life in peace and maybe take the hot male lead for herself while using her epic magic powers to become the bestest that ever was though!

Honestly the protag being the “author” of the story has very little relevance and she barely even remembers details of the story, and/or never really thought about any of the details of the characters’ lives at all so she’s just constantly ignorant about everything. If she didn’t have ultra powerful magic powers and the general intelligence of an adult in a child’s body, she would’ve likely just immediately died. It’s constantly a major plotpoint that she comes across a character she wrote and completely forgot about, and she only wrote about 10 characters at most. Protag repeatedly strays from the original plot, then gets confused when the plot deviates. Is she actually that stupid? She also later says she only knows certain things in the story because various characters told other characters, but she’s the one who wrote the thing hello??

The constant outfit and hairstyle changes of the protag early on is really great at least. Shoutout to ch10+ with the twinbraids. The art is really the main highlight of this work, since the story and characters sure aren’t. Shoutout to her romance baiting the male lead then consistently friendzoning him. She has a really elaborate cute new dress like every other chapter that is really nice and pretty, honestly that’s the only reason to read this work. Who cares about the plot when you can see the fashion show? However despite the protagonist getting tons of cute outfits the male lead is basically shirtless half of the time or just wearing a simple half-buttoned dress shirt which is insanely boring. I know i’m not the target demographic but still. Every once in a while he’ll at least get a decent oufit and maybe even match with her so it’s fine I guess.

Seriously though I kind of hate this plot and how the romance is written. The protagonist is a turbo wishy-washy brainlet who keeps giving insanely obvious signals to the male lead, the male lead responds in kind, then the protag is like “why would you do this you should be liking the original heroine” over and over even as he’s basically pushing her down.

Why does the author always immediately go to “cut their penises off” as the punishment for just about anything?

Only real merit of this work is the cute outfits and if you like the tall dark and handsome male lead who just trips over himself for the protagonist as a doormat with no real opinions of his own. It’s an eyecandy manwha and nothing else with the finale also being fairly unsatisfying.
