Protagonist dies, reincarnates into the world of a murim novel as a 2bit “villainess” who is utterly incompetent and exists solely to annoy the protagonist then die like fodder. Ultimately the protag was just a jealous child who was upset that the only person who even remotely loved her (her dad) started to pay attention to and train someone else instead of spend time on her and lashed out. Unfortunately she only realizes she’s in the world of the novel after her father passes away and still unfortunately immediately dies afterwards, but for some reason is transported back in time to when she was a child, back before the relationship with her father started to deteriorate. Now that she has knowledge of one possible future she can hopefully be a better person and get all of the love she desires in this new life.

This work handles the “mature adult in child body” fairly well, even if the protag does stand out a bit for not being super child-like it’s not uncommon for somewhat abused/neglected children left to fend for themselves to “grow up quickly” so she is not totally out of place. The protagonist handles most of the events that come at her in a way that a more mature child might, and phrases different things to just barely navigate around the conversation well enough for it to be plausible. The romance makes sense, the relationships with the adults make sense, it’s just overall competently written and I enjoy reading it.

I really like the art in this work, they put a lot of effort into just about everything, and the protagonist is also really cute.

Would rec if you want to read a relatively bog-standard murim series, except one following someone that stays near the bottom of the rung the entire time since she can’t innately use chi due to her destroyed core, and is more of a non-combatant that maneuvers politically or through medicine instead of just bashing everybody over the head.
