Description / Comments

Protag’s a top-class chef who is regularly scouted by everybody for his knife skills. All of a sudden a gacha game he played in the past reinstalled itself on his phone and won’t stop sending him notifications, and after accidentally clicking on one of the notifications the game launches and sucks him into the world of the game. The game is your typical autobattle gacha kusoge, but set in a slightly modified korea with special abilities and academies for gifted magical children in order to train them up enough to fight against the demons and demon lord. The protagonist gets reincarnated as a random background npc teenager that just so happens to get a skill good enough to be accepted into one of the best academies, even though the skill that the original npc he reincarnated into got was absolutely trash. Thankfully when the protagonist got transported into this body, he also obtained an OP “knife” skill that allows him to be shiki, however only if he wields blades as small or smaller than a sashimi knife.

Fairly fun work featuring Korean Tohno Shiki dabbing over everybody in the world with his epic slicing skills. I feel like the work just made the protag too powerful too quickly, and continues to buff his power level to insane degrees to the point that nobody can hold a candle to him. No character matters at all nor will they ever reach his level, they even brought in the current pinnacle of humanity and had him get dabbed on by the protag while he destroys everything himself. The only character that can at least somewhat reach the levels of the protag is the original “Hero” of the story who might even go down the path of evil later on due to the actions of the protag, which might actually be somewhat interesting. The work acutally does do a good amount of minor foreshadowing which is nice, and more than I normally would expect from random isekai trash.

The heroines are cute but since the protag is an ossan inside he just sagemodes the entire thing and the romance never goes anywhere. This work exists solely to watch a dude cut at the fabric of spacetime, at most 60 seconds per day, blowing his load all at once and then going into a painful refractory period. I’ll continue to check out this work since it’s at least pretty fun but i’m not confident the author will really lead the story into an interesting enough direction to make it worth reading. I’d be happy to be surprised though.

The art is fairly average at the start but gets better as time goes on, and I don’t really have any complaints about it. It does the job well.
