The Original Plot's Fate Is Strong

In most otome-isekai works there’s this sense that the original novel’s plot guides the storyline and it’s near impossible to step out of the story, as the world will correct itself to the correct course repeatedly. Even going so far as to fully change the personalities of characters that have been previously diverted to be more in line with what is needed for the story as if a force is guiding everybody down a pre-determined path.
